Old Bank Town has its own island vibe. The residents are descendents of Jamaica and the West Indies who worked the marine shipping side loading bananas for the “Company”. The vibe is reggae infused island beat and the place is very cool as it a town that is true to itself as not being a franchised cookie cutter kind of place. There are small hotels, hostels, bars, restaurants, small stores and tour companies.
This cinder block building that has 111 m2 of titled land, was the longtime store known as “Teddy’s”. It is located in the middle of Old Bank Town. A sidewalk is in front and the waterfront is behind. The old United Fruit Company dock is directly behind the store and is in disrepair. With permission you might be able to repair a section that is close to the land. You can also build up since the building is solid. The inside is one big room, so there are plenty of build out options.
The property needs a fresh coat of paint and an idea. Dive shop, restaurant, bar gift shop? Let your creativity flow.
